For those who may not be aware, or for those who haven't received the mailings that were supposed to be sent out by First Energy, they are planning a line project. First Energy is planning on using their existing easement for the new poles/lines, which does run through part of PMLE (Section 7 explicitly). For those that have properties near the current pipeline, there may be a need for First Energy to try and obtain additional easement. The properties that can, or may be affected are on Ledgeway Drive, a few that are on Mountain Top Drive and a few on Mountain Top Court. If anyone wants any additional information, I've provided the "mailer" which states what they are doing, and below I'm providing an 888 number to contact First Energy directly to ask any questions.

No matter your stance on this project, whether for or against, it is in your best interest to be armed with as much knowledge as possible.

Questions that have been asked, and FE's response:

1. Will property values be affected? A: They could be affected, but there should be no impact as they already have easement and are not deviating off of that path.
2. What about local wildlife and environmental impacts? A: Studies haven't been done, yet. FE will be paying for the studies.
3. If they need additional property easement, what's the rate they pay? A: They pay what the tax office has them assessed at, however, there is room for negotiation.
4. Will the EMF hurt the wildlife or even human life. A: It's perfectly safe as the human population currently deals with EMF in their regular day, i.e., Cell phones, electric substations, etc.
5. Who compensates the home/property owners for the diminished property/home value? A: No one, as it's your home/property.
6. Will this power be sold to any area outside of Pennsylvania? A: We cannot say.
